Gain The ‘Advantage’
Advantage Employment voted ‘Best of the Best’ in central Arkansas
By Linda Garner-Bunch, Advertising Feature Writer
Voted central Arkansas’ best employment agency by readers of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Advantage Employment Inc. provides professional, courteous service to both employers and job seekers. “Advantage Employment, like its name, was designed to place employers and job seekers at an ‘advantage,’” said owner Sarah Blanz, who has more than 27 years of experience in the employment industry. “We are locally owned and operated, giving us the ability to tailor our services to better suit the needs of central Arkansas,” she said. “We don’t have to wait for a decision to be made from a corporate office located out of state.”
Professional Placement
Advantage Employment provides fulltime, part-time, temporary and direct-hire hiring services, as well as payroll services upon request. Qualified applicants may be placed in a variety of positions, including office management, clerical, accounting and bookkeeping, medical office, legal assistant, customer service and more. The agency also provides staffing for focus groups and mock juries. Direct deposit is available for employees on the agency’s payroll. The agency offers free, confidential job advertising for its clients, as well as skills testing and software training for job candidates, reference checks, drug testing, and background and credit checks.
“We care about our clients, and even though we may not be able to place every applicant, we provide encouragement and advice that may help them with their job search,” Blanz said. “We treat everyone with respect. We want them to leave our office feeling like they have been helped in some way.”
Q: What qualities do you look for in a prospective employee?
A: There are so many, and each person is different. Overall, I would say the most important qualities are honesty, a good work ethic, the ability to follow directions, social skills, good grammar and communication skills. Equally important are good hygiene, appropriate attire and a stable work history, along with skills and references.
Q: What is the most important piece of advice you can give to a job seeker?
A: Be honest, have a positive attitude and a good work ethic, be prepared, and never, never, never give up.
Q: How can a job seeker schedule an appointment with your agency?
A: Appointments are not necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. We normally interview from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Call our office at 501-954-7222 for more information and directions.
